Blankie Pankie

Sewing a quilt is like solving a mystery.

You start out having kind of an idea of what will happen...

And then slowly the quilt takes on a life of it's own.
Pretty soon you have completed a thing that you didn't know existed.
In the end, you're surprised the twists and turns turned out the way they did.

Not always the way you thought, but somehow very satisfying.

I've always wanted to learn how to make a quilt like this. It looks like it turned out great. I also like the little name tag you put on it. Way CUTE!!!

I've decided that leaving my "mark" on the quilts I make is a good idea (maybe I'll get famous someday and they'll be worth their weight in gold)If that doesn't happen, it's still a cute idea that helps the giftees remember who made the quilt.
