Moments in Time

In order to keep up with my once a day goal for posting this month, I thought long and hard about what to post for today (actually ... maybe for 5 minutes). I have chosen 2 significant moments in the Beecher house to highlight.

Moment 1

Slumbering Sweeties

I just crave this part of my day. When the girls are all sleeping, and I actually have true peace and quiet. It helps me regroup after the daily trials of motherhood.

I thought this was especially funny last night when Tessa, Kate, and Zoe all were asleep on the couch together. Matt was asleep in the chair next to them. The girls were there first, the cat came and sat next to them ... I think she likes the warmth of the blankets and bodies. Anyway ...

Moment 2

Breakfast With Dad

This is a big deal at our house, because Matt works every morning except Sunday (lately). So it's our day to have a big breakfast with Dad around. I think usually the girls are shocked when they see Matt in the morning, because it happens so rarely (what a great provider!). So on those lucky mornings that he is here, we have eggs and pancakes and the girls just love it. (luckily church doesn't start until 11:00)

This morning happened to be one of our lucky mornings with Dad, so I thought I would document the occasion. (Kate gets to "ride" in the backpack to stay up off the floor ... she actually really likes it, and it makes life tons easier for us. I have her in there all the time to do the dishes and bake)

So there you have it .... 2 moments in time that mean something to me. For some people, they may be silly or non-important, but for me they mean a great deal.

This looks like fun, and it is a sweet memory.

The little moments really add up, and make life easier to deal with, especially when you recognize those tender mercies everyday!

Those girls on the couch with the cat....so cute! I have a similar picture with me and my cat when I was about Tessa's age. Very cute!
