This is a sci-fi type book about 2 girls who get pulled from our time into the future .... the 2400's. The girls are LDS, and in the future world everything is completely different. There are no animals, no religion, strange fashions sense, people have crystals in their wrists to pay for things and be tracked, the language is different, they live in bubbles to protect them from the outside weather .... all in all .... a completely different world. When the girls get there, the only ones who can understand them are Echo and Jeth .... wordsmiths who study history and the languages of past people.
The girls are shocked because they cannot be sent back to their time .... so they struggle with figuring out how to live in this new place. This story was interesting, and it kept me wondering what was going to happen the whole time. There are different groups of people and the girls have to figure out who is truly good, and who is trying to use them. I like that it has an underlying LDS theme. I kept thinking that there is no way there wouldn't be LDS people, because the church wouldn't be gone from the earth ... anyway .... it works out interestingly in the end. My only gripe would be that I would have liked to have more of a resolution in the end .... but isn't that always the case?

In honor of your reading this book, I read two of Sierra St. James other books. One is a romance and it is funny. The other is also very good and has romance as well, but it really about loving someone who is old and failing. It was funny, and pertinent to my situation in some ways. Then O got on Amazon to see if she had anything new. She doesn't. Too bad because she has such a sense of humor and I love to have a laugh.
