Secret Treasure

Sometimes I look around and see
how much we are lacking in the world's eyes.

We don't have brand new cars
and our house might not be the right size.

I'm not the perfectly skinny one
who wears designers like Prada or Jimmy Chiu.
And many people might look at me and think
I'm weird, I don't even have a tattoo.

Then there are those who are shocked
by the size our "large" family.
They stare, make faces, comment a great deal
some even speak angrily.

To people who don't understand my lifestyle
I get it, it looks very odd;
but I am being the best me I can,
there isn't a grand facade.

I love these 4 daughters I have in our home.
I know I've been blessed beyond measure.
These sweet girls cause me to smile everyday,
they are my world's secret treasure.

They're funny, silly, they say the cutest things.
They laugh at my jokes every time.
They sing when I sing, they smile when I smile;
I think that they are sublime.

So if you're overwhelmed by the ones you've been given,
remember that children are splendid.
I'm here for a reason ... my children are it,
and that's what Heavenly Father intended.

Well said... I wish everyone could look at others with the eternal perspective in mind and not judge just based on looks alone.
