Goes to the Highest Bidder

I finally finished the quilt for the YW auction. (the one I'm donating) It took a little while ... mainly because I had to stop so many times to do other things. (like reading The Host, and taking care of children, you know, things like that) Actually, piecing the top only took a day, the quilting only took an hour (thanks Beth for the help) and the binding just part of today. I am very glad to be done with several days to spare. This is the first quilt I have made that wasn't very precise and "blocky." It was kind of an experiment.

What do you think? Would you place a bid?
Anyway .... on to the next project!

This is the back of the quilt ....

I would bid for it. I like it a lot. Pretty chocolate colors.

Thanks for sending me this way. I love this quilt. It is so simple and beautiful. You’ll have to be careful with piecing blankets like this, it is very addicting. When I shifted from the traditional to modern piecing like this it opened up a whole new world for me, creatively. All the sudden there were no rules, anything goes, I didn’t have to precise blocks anymore and actually tried to make my quilt blocks a bit wonky. Thanks for sharing, it is beautiful.

You really are very talented. I need you to show me how you make the swirly lines - is it machine quilted? Anyhow, I would love to make something like that. I need a little tutorial.
