Planes, Brains, and Automobiles

Planes...

Last night Karen and I were lucky enough to get to pick the Hench's up from the airport. We got there 2 hours early, as suggested by several sources, so we could get escort passes and meet them right off the plane. In retrospect, that was probably a little earlier than necessary, but Karen and I had a nice time visiting while we waited. When the time came for the passengers to get off the plane, we waited patiently for the Henchs, and at last we saw sweet Alexa and Callie stumbling tiredly and Cori pushing the stroller with Leah. Apparently the flight went okay, which is good. We got the bags, and uneventfully got home to Grandma Judie's. I'm excited they're here and can't wait to visit with them more.

Brains...

Brielle wrote the cutest book yesterday:
Alexandra and the Best, Terrific, Funnest Day of Her Life

The best day was yesterday for Alexandra.
It was the best day because first, she got to choose new shoes.
Second, it was Easter and she got an egg that if you put it in water, it would grow and hatch.
And she got to eat lunch with her dad.
And got to buy 100 things from the dollar store.
And you can see so far it was a good day.
And she got to go to wizard school.
And she got to go to Utah.
She loved it in Utah.
She met a new friend named Alexa.
They were best friends forever.
And then they met another friend named Vixie.
And then all the friends moved to Washington.
At first they thought it was freezing because they had been in the sun alot.
But then they got used to it.
And they got to be friends forever.
The end.

Automobiles...

I was driving to drop of my visiting teaching stuff on Monday, and got hit. I was sitting behind another car, and a car must not have seen that we were stopped and hit the edge of my car with their mirror. So I pulled over to the side of the road, and when I got out, it was someone from the ward .... who felt VERY embarrassed. Luckily, not much damage was done. But it just goes to show, that if you have a little dog in your car, and it jumps into your lap and scares you, you can do dangerous things. (you can see that I might not like the idea of driving around with little dogs in your lap)

Also .... we had to get the brakes fixed on the minivan. Luckily, it only cost a couple hundred instead of several hundred. I hate having to spend precious money to fix the car, however, I like driving a car that works properly. So, oh well.

I know just how you feel Derecks car has been a headache the last couple weeks. I'm sorry you got bumped doing your visiting teaching, I have had that happen and the person took off. What are the chances that it was someone you know. That is so funny.
