Paging Dr. Sunshine

Yesterday was an eventful day. First we had Kate's 1 year checkup at her doctor's office. She weighed in at a whopping 16 lb. 14 oz. .... which is my smallest 1 year old to date. She is in the 3rd percentile for height and weight ... the Dr. didn't seem too concerned about her daintiness because her height and weight are proportionate. She had to get 4 shots .... it's always so sad to see their little faces. The older they get, the more they realize what is happening and she just looked at me with fear in her eyes. Poor girl. All in all though, she is healthy and doing well.

After that, we went to my mom's house for her surprise birthday lunch. All of us sisters (except Siri in Utah ... so sad she couldn't come!) were there. It was truly a surprise, and a yummy lunch to boot~ the kids had a really good time playing outside. I think they played outside for 8 hours straight. By the time we left, after dinner, they were dirty and tired. They went to bed so fast and slept great.

I love that about sunny days!
