Orange You Glad?

It's Satsuma time!
I feel like every season our family focuses on a different fruit. Of course, cherries when they're in, and peaches, berries of all kinds ... apples in the fall. In the late fall/winter we LOVE Satsumas! They're easy to peel, and so good.

Growing up I always remember getting Satsumas and unwrapping each purple paper like it was a special gift. Now, you don't see them wrapped as often ... but they're still in the boxes and I think still a little gift; so yummy and juicy!!

We've only had them since Saturday, and half the box is already gone. Until they're out of the stores, you can guarantee we'll be hording them as much as possible.

a couple years ago, oranges were so good at costco. 9.99 a box and so sweet from Nov to Feb, but now since the last few years of hurricanes, they arent as sweet and more expensive.

I adore Satsumas or Clementines or whatever they be. I never really noticed them until my mission in France and now they are a MUST HAVE! I found them at Fred Meyer for $4.98 a box. We'll have to let each other know when there are even sweeter deals because, believe me, I will stock up! :)

they are my fave too...can't wait to go get some. i love cali because we have a bunch of different oranges all year round like Temecula sweets, which are almost a bit better than the average satsumas... next time i come home i shall bring you some. also, your pumpkins are adorable. your girls are, too. i always read about their fights wondering how those little darlings can fight...then i think back to me and my sister...and i know!
