Book Review: Emeralds and Espionage

Emeralds and Espionage, Lynn Gardner

Well the first time I read this was a while ago ... maybe 8 years? (it's been at least 5) I just love these books. Matt has always hated the titles of her books, but who cares what the title is ... even if it is a little cheesy. This is the kind of book that grabs you from the beginning and pulls you in and you can't put it down until you're done. I read this yesterday afternoon. So good!

Allison is home walking on the beach and a bullet flies by ... she sees men on the beach ... the private beach where she lives in CA. She also sees a large ship off shore. Pretty soon she is finding out secrets about her life she never dreamed of ... finding secrets about the place she grew up at, and doing things she never imagined. This is one of those action/adventure/lds/romance books you won't be able to put down ... well I couldn't put it down. Some people might not like it I suppose but that's just too bad. I loved it and will continue looking for the rest of the series (I think they're out of print) so I can reread them all!

Hunger Games was a library book. I am not sure I would read it more than once because it's not a "fun" book. But I will definitely read the sequel, and I am glad I read it.
