It's the Great Pumpkins!

Tonight for family night we had pumpkin carving and caramel apple "fondue"!!
We did the dessert first because it was a little less messy and "involved" than the carving. All the girls loved the caramel ... especially Kate who kept dunking her hands in it.
After caramel apples, we carved pumpkins! The girls got to pull the guts out ... except Kate who didn't have a pumpkin, and Tessa who said it was too messy. Then they each designed the "look" they wanted for their Jack-O-Lanterns. Tessa's said "happy" ...Linzi's said "puppy" ... and Brielle went for "evil" ...
They had a fun time and I think Matt and I thought it was fine; no major assaults to report, so that was good!!

Happy Halloween!!

The evil one is fun because it's so scary and perfect for Halloween!

I saved them to post on my blog next year! They are truly artistic. Kudos to Matt, and to the girls who had the great ideas. I love your fondue idea. I'll bet they loved it. Maybe by next year we can crash your party!
