Our morning was filled with this:
The girls arrived at the new school nervous. I was too. We found their lines and Linzi looked fine, Brielle looked ... I don't know, sad? alone? As I left, I had the urge to cry. I think it's hard seeing your kids go through something hard. But, it needs to be done. I'm sure they're fine. (at least I keep telling myself this ... I actually have pictured Brielle in the bathroom, crying.)
Then I came home and had a busy morning; laundry, cleaning, and lunch. Tessa said she didn't want to go to school ... I told her she'd have fun.
She was nervous, but didn't cry. That's a major feat I think!
Kate, Quinn, and I then did this:
And now this:
I wonder if each day will be this eventful ... hopefully not.
Now I wait for the bus ... haven't had to do that before. Should be interesting. I wonder what tales they'll tell about their day?
2 little comments:
new schools are exciting. tell your girls i went to a LOT of new schools!!!
I heard that Brielle is in Keri's class. She's an excellent teacher and has become a friend of mine :) My mom said she talked to Linzi for a couple of minutes. I hope the first day went well for all the girls!
