La-Z Days

So our old furniture finally went kaput ... literally. The gliding chair we had, when you sit in it now, falls backward .... so if it's not pushed up near a wall you fall backward. (So safe for kids!) The couch's bottom piece fell off and the back fabric piece is falling off, there are staples strategically sticking out so if you find just the right spot you get poked (tetanus anyone?). The cushions have been forever stained with Brielle's lip gloss which all manner of upholstery cleaner cannot get out. And the girls have ruined the cushions that go on the back so they no longer sit the way they're supposed to ... they just kind of lump up the back of the couch.

So ..... we went to the LaZBoy store on Saturday and they were having a sale. (of course) and we found this couch, love seat and ottoman. It's microfiber so that's good with kids. And there is a lifetime warranty on the frame, and a 10 year warranty on the fabric .... so any stain they can't get out, they'll replace it. (that's good for us I think) Pretty much we didn't want to spend the money, but it will be a good investment in the end.

We didn't get red, but these are the pictures they had on the website. The fabric we chose is more of a neutral tan/khaki/ish color. The ottoman can store stuff inside and the top flips over to have a hard flat wood surface instead of the cushion if you want.

Anyway, we have to wait 6 weeks to get them, but we're looking forward to it. Now that you know more than you cared to about this purchase .... :)

These are wonderful! Love them! They almost look like my living room couch...only the back of mine is straight. And an added bonus..the back cushions don't come off, so the children can't remove them and make forts!! :)

Microfiber is the best! We have been able to get every spot that has gotten on our couch out with no problem.

Your hilarious! I am happy you got some new furniture - I think that is always fun. I can't wait to see it when we come in August (if the invite is still valid).

Okay, I'm dumb - I meant to type you're hilarious as oppose to "your hilarious". Maybe I should learn to proof-read.
