11. I am grateful for
chocolate. This is a silly thing to be thankful for but I am. It's just so good. You can do a million different things with it. You can make
brownies with nuts or caramel. You can have pudding or
mousse. You can make cake and
frosting and ice cream. There are
candy bars and chocolate chips.
Hot chocolate with whipped cream. I have tried a lot of different ways to make
chocolate different and know what? They're ALL good. They all are satisfying to that sweet tooth that I have. I appreciate the creaminess of milk chocolate and the yummy bitterness of dark chocolate. I really don't condone emotional eating, but if you're in a pinch like I have been before,
chocolate usually does the trick. Once in a while, when the kids are yelling and screaming and running around like crazy people, I can go into my room for a tiny quiet moment, and eating a
piece of chocolate usually helps. I don't know why it does, but afterward I feel like I've secretly done something for myself that the kids don't know about. It makes me able to go out and deal with them. Crazy right? (I don't do this on a regular basis of course, but just once in a while.) Matt often goes to my favorite Sees Chocolate shop and buys my favorite chocolates. It's his default gift for me, and he knows that I will ALWAYS appreciate it no matter how often he does it. LOVE them. Anyway.
Chocolate. It's wonderful.

Hi Honor! Thanks so much for your "daily thankfuls". It helps me to think daily of the things that I am thankful for. I especially loved the laundry machine day - I probably would have forgotten that one but I, too, am extremely grateful for washing and drying machines. And books too!
chocolate makes you feel good because it activates your dopamine receptors. so it's not your imagination that it really makes you feel better...it does! that's why i love chocolate too.
