So my (almost) 37 week checkup was today. I am still just 1 cm dilated and 25% effaced. I didn't gain even a half of a pound (yay!!!) and the baby sounds good and is head down. It's looking good.
If you remember, I had Kate 3 weeks early. I went into labor the day before my 37 week mark. This time if I went that early it would be tomorrow. Now, I'm ready ... but I am not counting on getting quite that lucky this time. That was most probably a fluke, and not something a person would be blessed with 2 times in a row. I am however, REALLY wishing and hoping that it happens ... we'll just have to wait and see.
I suppose I wouldn't have to be THAT early ... Thursday or Friday wouldn't be bad. (*smile*)
When we came home from the dr.'s office, the girls informed me that we finally had 2 ripe tomatoes. So I picked our first little tomatoes of the summer. (I thought they were cherry tomato sized, but they have turned out to be about the size of a large plum.) How fun! We've been picking strawberries all summer, but these tomatoes have taken forever. It's nice that they're finally getting ready. Brielle and Linzi suggested using them for tacos tonight. We'll have to see.
Maybe the next time I post something here it will be to announce that I'm in labor or have had the baby. Wouldn't that be exciting.

Glad you have tomatoes and that you've been able to enjoy your strawberries. My dogs keep eating everything. I never had a problem keeping them out of the garden at our old house, but now that we've been in our new house for almost 2 years, the dogs get into everything. We're having such a hard time teaching boundaries here! So enjoy some fresh produce for me :)
Oh, good luck! I hope you do go early.
By the way, I listened to my messages from a while back and heard your message again. I never called you back! So sorry. The first month of a new baby is not great for me. I am feeling good now though and would love to chat sometime.
