Tomorrow (the 10th) is Mother's Day. Partially I feel this is a made up holiday, however, I enjoy the fact that there's a day to honor the fact that I'm a mom ... it's a hard job after all. These are the 10 things I love best about being a mom:
- good morning smiles
- thoughtful "I love yous"
- looking in their faces and seeing parts of me
- dancing, laughing, tickling moments
- the looks on their faces when I do something they appreciate
- the fact that they're all sitting at the dining room table right now making cards for me
- knowing that they'll be mine forever
- the fact that when they're sad, I'm the only one who can help them feel better
- hugs for no reason
- getting to spend tons of time with them
Being a mom is a hard, laborious, sometimes gruelling job ... but I love it, and I would never trade it for any other job in the world. (and I think I have the BEST kids ... but I'm probably a little biased)
