This is 2 days late ... her birthday was actually the 27th. She was SO excited to be turning 4 and kept saying "I'm 4 now!" Cute girl. Kate has the most explosive personality. When she was a baby and she would cry I used to tell Matt that it sounded like she was growling at me. She could REALLY cry. A lot. And now as a little girl, she still has that same spunk ... a gleam in her eye that tells us she's going to get what she wants at all costs. I just love her to pieces.
Kate loves to be a helper. When all 3 big sisters are at school Kate will walk around and follow me doing what I do. Helping with Quinn, or in the kitchen or in the laundry room. She likes to be a big girl. I think it will be really nice this next year when Tessa is in 1st grade and Kate and Quinn and Isla are home all day ... Kate will be the big sister and Mommy's helper.
For her birthday dinner I asked her what she wanted and she said "macaroni and cheese." When I mentioned later that we were grilling meat and having other things she said "I thought we were having macaroni and cheese." I told her that I thought some of the other people might like other things and she said, "Why?" with this look on her face ... it was so funny. Like "Why would anybody want anything other than macaroni and cheese?"
For dessert she asked for chocolate cupcakes with pink frosting and "4's" on them. She wanted a 4 on all of them. Kate obviously is very precise in knowing what she wants.
Kate has been the perfect addition to our family. We love her and appreciate her spunk ... even on days that it overflows from her little body and spills all over the floor. What a sweet girl!
