Another Year Older and Wiser Too?

Today I am 32.

I think I feel fine about that considering I have 5 children. I don't understand why people get so weirded out and funky about getting older. We all know getting older is going to happen, it happens once a year our whole lives. So why are we concerned when we near the 30s and 40s? I don't know. I'm not. I'm happy to be another year older. I just assume that means I am another year wiser.
So bring on the birthdays! In another decade or so I'll be REALLY smart. (I suppose this theory means then, that our parents really are more wise than us ... although I realize for some people it doesn't seem like they are actually getting more wise, but I think in my case it's probably true)

**I was born today at 5:21 am ... 7# 6 oz, 19" long ... in Anchorage, AK. ** I think because I just had a baby, it's been easier for me to see how much it takes for a woman to have a baby. It's hard work, and not just the labor, but the whole pregnancy, and then afterward too ... it takes hours and hours of selfless service to have a little baby. So I guess today I should also thank my mom for doing that for me 32 years ago ... I can honestly say I understand what it was to go through that and I know how hard it must have been. Thanks Mom.
