I Can Relate

It's true.  And slightly depressing.

Week 17

  • I'm feeling pretty "normal" ... as far as pregnancy normal.  No more nausea most of the time!  I am absolutely thrilled about this.  The house is cleaner, and the laundry isn't piled up.  ☺
  • I have no pants that actually FIT.
  • Ultrasound in 2 weeks ... and I'm anxious.
  • We built a wall this past week in our big room ... now it's 2 rooms instead of 1.
  • My taxes were accepted by the IRS ... one less thing to worry about.
  • I think I might have a tiny bit of nesting going on ... I unpacked the 3 boxes that have been sitting in my computer room since last August.  Now it's clean and organized.
  • I hate the health care system and insurance deductibles.  (and I could go on and on about this)
  • I feel like pregnancy lasts too long ... and I have FOREVER left.  But today, I'm glad I don't have a baby to deal with as well.  I'm not quite ready for that.

16 Weeks

First midwife appointment today.  I am SO excited I switched to a midwife.  It's perfect for me.  I love how it's more laid back and informative than going to the doctor.  I love that I just walk in and she's ready for me, no waiting in the waiting room for a half hour.  I love that I will get to know her because the appointments are longer than doctor's appointments, and she'll be there for me during labor.  The whole time, unlike a doctor who you don't really get to know too well and they are only there for you during labor the last little bit.

I definitely made the right decision.  Yay!!

So I heard the baby's heartbeat for the first time ... that was good ... now I know there actually IS a baby in there.  Blood pressure was really good ... everything was good.

Ultrasound in 3 weeks!!

15 Weeks

So I am 15 weeks pregnant.  Maybe I should just call this blog the "pregnancy chronicles" ... it seems like that's all I'm talking about.  I want to really chronicle this pregnancy though, and since I use this blog like a family journal, I will have to do it here.  Sorry if you get bored with the commentary.  :)  I am feeling a lot better nausea wise.  It's almost gone.  I still get a little "gaggy" when I change Q's diaper, and once in a while besides that, but mostly I'm better.  I'm so relieved.  It was a long last few months.  I switched from a doctor to a midwife.  I'll see her for the first time next week.  I'm so excited!  I hope this change makes a big difference in how calm this pregnancy and labor will be.  No surprises.  (keep that in mind baby in my uterus.)  I'll be finding out the sex of this baby in a few weeks!  Can't wait!!

King Arthur's Quest

The Missoula Children's Theater came to the elementary school to do a performance of King Arthur's Quest.  They cast the play, teach all the kids their lines, do costumes, songs, teach all the stage blocking and perform 3 times in 6 days!  It was a crazy week.  Brielle was cast as the White Squire.  I played the piano for all the songs.  It was fun.  I think Brielle had a good time, and all the kids did a great job!
