Where Am I?

I have been AWOL.  We are moving, so it's understandable.  Right?  Life is just hectic.  We're taking a load of stuff over to our new house everyday.  I keep finding things to pack, but I think I've packed all the easy accessible stuff.  The hard stuff that needs to be cleaned out and gone through is still left.

Quinn has been sick.  He's had a fever for a few days, so this morning I took him to the doctor's office to get checked.  Ever since having Quinn, going anywhere alone with all 5 kids kind of panics me, so I called Matt and he was able to meet me there and watch all the girls while I took Quinn in.  (He's so good to me ... I'm a baby probably ... but 5 kids is a lot, and they're all working against me)

Long story short, Quinn is still skinny (16 pounds 8 oz. ... and he's 11 months old)  and he has a virus.  Actually, he's had a fever for 3 days, last night it reached over 103.  So the doctor looked in his ears, and then said they were fine, and then looked into his throat, stepped back, said "oh dear." and then told me that his tonsils are red, very swollen, and covered in white pus.  Poor Quinn.

Did you know there's nothing to be done for a virus?  So we just wait it out.

Anyway ... did all of that convince you how busy I/we am/are?  We are all very excited to be moving.  The girls have their bedrooms all ready, and love going into them when we're over there to move things around.  (Brielle and Linzi have their own for now, and Kate and Tessa are sharing)

When all the work is done, I just might take a breath.  For now, I'm running on fast forward.

Busy as Bees

My sisters have been in town, and we're in the process of moving, so I have been scarce here.  At some point I might put pictures up of our fun past few weeks.  It's possible it won't happen, too.

*shrug*

Right now, I'm focusing on packing and getting things situated so we can be moved in the next couple weeks.  It's such a BIG job.  Makes me tired just thinking about it.

For now, that's all I can manage of an update.  Pretty pathetic.

Tooth Log

Apparently that's what this blog has become.  A few days ago Quinn got teeth #3 and #4.  (middle top and bottom on the left)

He's now got a lovely grin with a tiny bit of tooth showing.  I'll try to get a picture soon.

(I've been super busy with my sisters and a cousin in town, so I've had too much going on to write here ... hopefully I can update soon)

Happy Independence Day!!
